Should be working on:

Display boards: Include info. on your author’s life (childhood, education, family, writing career, etc.). Make sure that you bullet point these and make the font big enough to read across the room. On the book, do the same with characters, setting, plot, climax/resolution, themes, etc. Last but not least you need a list of books written by your author and a pic of your author.

Projects: Should show time,effort, and originality. These should be interactive to some degree and show a connection to your book (in other words, they need to be meaningful). Ideas…game boards, models, dioramas, movies, costuming, etc.

Bring display or project to work on. I would like to “see” what you have done so far on your project, so make sure to have it there on Thursday or a “pic” of what it looks like so far.

FINAL COPY of Critique–worth 50 pts.–this is your last and final chance to turn this in!! Typed, double spaced with dress ups/openers (need only 4 instead of 6). And don’t forget those clinchers.

Bring sources for work on author’s life/bio.

FINAL COPY of the critique. Includes all dress ups/openers/clinchers/etc. This is worth double points from a normal essay–50 pts.

Bring all supplies needed to work on your display or project.

FINAL copy of critique due Thursday. If you bring the rough draft on Tuesday, you may work on  your display during class. Otherwise, you should be writing during classtime!

Bring supplies for display board (construction paper, scissors, rubber cement glue, etc.)!

Finish the Intro./Conclusion for your critique…refer to the handout if you need help.

Begin working on paragraphs for your biography. You should have the KW outlines done!
