Announcements: LOGIC ASSIGNMENT FOR JANUARY 21

DO:  Additional exercises 27, 28, 29, 30, pages 211 – 213.

These are designed to give your brain better traction in the concepts we have been studying. 

Here are a few reminders:

1. When the instructions are to put statements in standard categorical form, use the terms given, not S, P and M.

2.  Remember that your syllogisms may only have three terms: the major, minor, and middle.  If there are more than three terms in the problem you are facing, first check if there

Omnibus I, Announcements: Omnibus 1 homework for Dec. 3

  • Write out the progymnasmata that we worked on in class. This one  is for practice and will not be graded. BUT it still must be done. If you do NOT do it I will give it a ZERO for not doing assigned homework.
  • If you have time and want to you can work on your lap book
  • Also, get your copy of the hospitality composition and bring along on Thursday.
  • If you took your lap book things home, do not forget them on Thursday.
  • Save a shoe box. We don’t need it yet - this is just a head’s up.

Journal Work:  analyze art on page 21.  Either answer the questions on page 21 or use them to write a paragraph about the art piece.    Include the name of the painting and the artist.Finish reading the book of Genesis.Do the chart - divide it into 3 columns as done on page 20. Label each column. Answer the questions in the last column.Finish coloring the map and bring to class on Tuesday.
