Announcements: Homework due September 23

  • Workbooks:  Everyone needs to make sure that all of Lesson 1 and Lesson 2 are complete and correct in your workbooks.  I have not been requiring this because many of you did not have an answer key.  Now that everyone has an answer key, you will not get points for doing the homework unless you checked it and corrected it. AND, you need to go back and check Lessons 1 and 2 and correct any errors. (You have until Tuesday, 9/28, to be sure that all of Lesson 1 and 2 are complete and correct.)
  • Please use pencil in your workbooks, not pen.
  • Also, be sure to complete pages 20, 21 and 24 in your workbook. (and check and correct it.)
  • There will be a quiz on Thursday.  I will only allow 5 minutes for the quiz, so you need to know the material well.  The quiz will cover the first five vocab words of Lesson 3: navigo, libero, saluto, adoro, and habito. This quiz will be different in that I will give you the Latin and you must give me all the English definitions listed for that word. (For instance, habito means “I live in, I dwell” ) You also must conjugate amo in 3 tenses - the present, imperfect and future. So practice writing it out.
  • Do your checklist.  You need to be reviewing all of the words you have learned so far, because they will all be on your quiz next Tuesday.
  • Next week is a review chapter - we will not be learning any new grammar forms or any new vocabulary, so it should be a little easier for you.
