Read 5.1, Log

Write a comparison/review of the videos (based on Ophelia’s madness). Discuss the interpretation the acting company is trying to convey. Then discuss the acting in this interpretation. Include such things as Ophelia’s behavior, the staging, the king/queen’s reactions, Laertes, movement in the scene, etc. This should be about one page in length.

  • You should also use the rubric I handed out in class. Remember to attach the rubric to your exercise.

Announcements: LOGIC ASSIGNMENT FOR FEBRUARY 25

1.       Assignment for February 25: 

a.       Study Lessons 35 and 36

b.      Do exercises 38 and 39.   

2.       These are the last two chapters of Introductory Logic. We have covered five units:  

a.       Terms and definitions

b.      Statements and their relationships

c.       Syllogisms and validity

d.      Arguments in normal English

e.      Informal fallaciesBefore we continue into Intermediate Logic, I would like you to quickly review Introductory Logic.  Since it would be foolish to continue without having achieved some degree of mastery in the units we’ve covered, I’d like you to identify those areas where you believe yourself to be weak.     

BE PREPARED TO STATE YOUR AREAS OF WEAKNESS IN CLASS FEBRUARY 25.
