PORTFOLIOS Due Thursday!! (includes non-fiction, story rewrite, journal entry, and self-evaluation in a folder…all must be typed, double spaced, etc.) See previous posts for details.

One paragraph of your choice (must be non-fiction).  Do a limited keyword outline and a summary. Please use ALL six dress ups and the prepositional opener. Underline please! Also include a clincher/title.

RRJ’s are due Thursday so make sure you are ready!! 5-6 entries and 10 vocab. words.

  4. Activity #2-4 p. 117-118 make a large-page size Egyptian drawing
  5. Continue memory work Ps. 78:4-5
  6. Activity #1 p. 116 read about and write description of 5 gods and answer questions in activity
  7. In class essay question - What are the advantages and disadvantages of building using nothing but stone?
  8. Locate Khartoum and your pyramid from previous assignment for our maps
  9. Bring cartouches if you haven’t worked on the invitations

Grammar–Direct Objects

RRJ–Entries and Vocab. are due next week!!

Prepare your portfolio (put papers in a peechee style folder). You should have your final copy of the non-fiction and story rewrite ready to go! This weekend work on typing up a self-evaluation and your best journal entry. These do NOT need dress ups. If you’d like me to “glance” at your self-eval. have it handy on Tuesday and I will give you feedback.

Punctuation pp. 41-43

T Chart (Comparison)–Jot down details comparing Merlin from TOFK and your other book. Include any ideas that pop into your brain (character traits, clothing/looks, motivation, purpose, life history, etc.) These are a sample of what you can look for. Try to include pg. numbers that support your conclusions. This will be EXTREMELY helpful when writing the essay.

  1. Read the rest of Module #4 and do the OYO problems
  2. Prepare for Microlab #1; in class we will complete 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3 also.
  3. Bring your article that you are writing about for Oct. 27 - something about chemistry from either the newspaper or a magazine
  4. Prepare for a retest of Module #3 test problems at the end of our classtime
