World History: For Nov. 3
- Prepare for in-class essay(#15 p. 110) and writing Ps 78:4-5
- Turn in one of #13, 14, 18 or 19
- Make vocabulary cards p. 114 and bring to class
- Finish Timeline project p. 126 and put Egyptian figures on timeline
- Start working on your costume - pp. 130-135 for ideas and BRING at least one costume item that you have made - headpiece, beard, flail
- Write an introduction for your pharoah - to be said by another person, and an outline of what you will say about your pharoah/wife - you will speak in first person - write each on a 3×5 card
EGYPTIAN NIGHT is Nov. 14 - 6:00 pm - please think about what food you would like to bring

Writing Through Literature I: Due Nov. 3

RRJ–Remember, these are due next Thursday so try for some entries and vocab. this weekend!
**Finish your outline and rough draft. Remember, we will be peer editing these in class so make sure it is LEGIBLE…if you need to, please type! Also, make sure to use two quotations within the essay. Bring your sources so we can begin work on the bibliography as well.

Excellence In Writing: Due Nov. 3
Grammar–Helping Verbs
One Paragraph Choice–Must be non-fiction and follow the limiting notes format. Not more than 4-7 details. Also, must use the six dress-ups and two openers (preposition/-ly). Don’t forget a title and clincher.
Practice at least one bibliographic citation. (that means find a book and write it up like we practiced in class…) Use the sample bibliography to help!

Omnibus I: Omnibus 1 for Nov. 3
- Read through the end of book 5 of the Odyssey - we read some in class so continue from where we left off.
- Abi, Daniel, Kurt and Tristan - write a 1 paragraph summary of the first 4 books
- Elise, Katie and Jess - begin work on researching the various Greek vases - you may use books and/or the internet
- continue to memorize the first 24 lines of Book 1 - this is due on Tuesday
- begin a new page in your journal for the Odyssey. Write in the lines you are assigned to memorize.
