Read The Once and Future King (TOFK)–Ch. 1-4, questions and vocabulary. Please write these on your own paper…use complete sentences!!
Cover–Follow the directions on the Intro. page.
Reading Response Journal (RRJ)–Try your hand at one entry! Use questions, predictions, analysis, etc. Tell me what you are thinking while you read. Post-it notes are handy to jot thinking on while reading! Use these to help you write your entry.

Announcements: Due Sept. 15
Preposition Quiz–Study! You need to know at least 45 of the prepositions to pass. Practice saying these aloud and writing them down.
Keyword Outlines–
*Finish The Hummingbird booklet (one Roman numeral per paragraph). Remember 2-3 words per sentence.
*Choose a paragraph of your choice and do a keyword outline. You will retell your paragraph using your outline, so be precise in the words that you choose.
Reading Response Journal (RRJ)–Try your hand at writing a journal entry. Ask questions, make predictions, analyze your characters, etc. Must be half page, usually about 4-5 sentences. Try using post-it notes too!

3. Chapter 1; know the following.
a. What is a term?
b. What is a definition?
c. Name and explain the six purposes of definitions.
d. DO exercises on page 5.
